Occupation: Dex works as a motorcycle mechanic and occasionally bartends on the weekends for a friend.

Powers/Abilities:
Dex is a born werepanther, because of this it means that he can change almost at will. The moon doesn't totally rule when Dex will change into his were form. This is his favorite ability. Sure, being faster then most and harder to kill is nice, but he absolutely loves that he can change when he wants to. Since he has been changing since he was born, he feels just at home in panther form as he does when in human form.
The young werepanther also has heightened senses and stamina. He also is blessed with the fact that he ages slow. He is only 24 at the moment but he looks forward to the day when he is damn near 100 and look barely in his 30's. It is one of his favorite things about being a werepanther. He may be slightly vain and likes how he looks, but he sees nothing wrong with this. If you don't think highly of yourself then who will?
Dex tends to keep in shape by jogging every morning and working out. He likes to have a slight edge on other people. The way Dex thinks of it is, when everyone else can bench press a car too, you need to have some sort of edge on them. Lifting weights gave him that slight edge. He wasn't some over muscled freak but he had enough extra muscle that he wasn't so easily pushed aside.
Biography:
On a warm June 5th morning in 1986 Dex Bennett was born to Maria and Richard Bennett. He was to be the oldest of three children. Dex loved being the oldest, he always thought of it as he broke his parents. He was always getting into some kind of trouble. His parents got to learn all the tricks through Dex. They learned the signs that their child was sneaking out, having sex, and just getting into trouble. Dex always teases his younger siblings that he broke their parents in so that they could grow up to be productive citizens. The two younger ones don't see it that way, but all of the Bennett kids seem to get along just fine.
Though Dex was a down right pain in the ass for most of his teenage years, he had a special bond with his Father. Richard just seemed to understand his oldest son more then the other two. They were always going out together and acting more like friends then Father and son. The pair shared a love for fixing motorcycles and riding them. From the time Dex was around ten he would sit there and help his Father work on any bikes that came through the family garage. It was around the time that Dex was sixteen that his Father bought Dex his own bike. The pair fixed it up together and by the time Dex was eighteen, he was able to take it out onto the road.
Dex took this love for motorcycles on with him into life. When it came time to go to school, Dex decided he wanted to become a motorcycle mechanic. He spent two years at college to get certified. Dex excelled at the program, mostly because he had been helping his Father out since he was ten. Motorcycles are the young man's passion and he not only works at a motorcycle repair shop but he even repairs them for friends on the side. He's known for taking his work home to try to finish things cheaper and faster for people he likes.
It was around Dex's 23 birthday that he met Zylona (![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) zylona). They were both at a party that one of his friend's was throwing at their new house. She caught his attention immediately and he made sure that he went out of his way to meet her. They hit it off almost instantly and not too much later Dex was moving in with the woman. Though Dex is her little pet panther, they both still date other people. Dex is too jealous to really be exclusive with anyone, because he couldn't be without Z. He is crazy about the woman. They have problems, all couples do, but Dex likes their open relationship just fine.
Personality:
Dex has a pretty happy go lucky attitude about life. He doesn't let much bother him. To the general public he is just a social butterfly. He loves to make new friends and talk anyone up. He usually doesn't spill his life story right away, but is all about talking about random bullshit with strangers. Dex tries hard to not show that he's upset or frustrated by things.
Though he may come off very friendly, Dex is a very jealous person. He loves to pick up new girls from time to time, have a fuck buddy here or there. He's been known to dump them though when Z starts to show interest in a specific person. He may be able to handle Z sleeping with other people but when he even begins to think that she might prefer them over him, he dumps the girl he's sleeping with like a bad habit to prove to Z that he wants only her. The pair seem to clash heads from time time, but it is just the kinks that need to be worked out in their one year relationship. She just tends to bring out the bad side in the young panther, but the same could be said about him.
